While many homeowners still operate their window treatments manually, you can also choose cordless options or hands-free control with motorized systems. Ins and Outs of Cordless Window Treatments
From classic cordless blinds to sleek cordless shades, several Hunter Douglas window treatments can be operated without a cord. This means you can raise and lower your wood or faux blinds without posing a hazard to small children or pets.
Instead of pulling on a cord, the LiteRise® system from Hunter Douglas allows you to push the blind up or pull it down until you achieve your lighting, shade, or privacy goals. This closure system is also perfect for side-by-side windows, as you can keep your blinds or shades at the same height for a crisp look. If you desire a clean, streamlined look that you can still operate by hand, then cordless blinds and shades are an excellent way to go.
As mentioned, cordless window treatments aren’t for every window! If you are looking to cover large windows or hard-to-reach windows, cordless blinds or shades may not be the best option.
